Amanda is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) #23439, currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is qualified to practice at ITSR under the clinical supervision of Stephanie Moffit, MSW RSW.

I appreciate the strength it takes to be vulnerable, and my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space to help you explore ways to manage the impact of life’s obstacles. Choosing to take time for therapy is giving yourself permission to reconnect with your strengths as you work toward confidence in living as your authentic self.

My journey in becoming a therapist is inspired by years of working as a mental health nurse, in addition to living through cancer, menopause and various losses. I have a compassionate understanding that healing is not linear and I appreciate how adversity can result in frustration.

My approach is person-centered, meaning I integrate therapeutic techniques that meet you where you are at. Drawing from mindfulness practices, Acceptance and commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused therapies, my aim is to help with processing emotions while shifting from the patterns keeping you stuck as we work toward adapting and coping with change.

To achieve life balance for myself, I enjoy spending time outdoors, on the family farm and find peace being with animals of any kind.

Bennett is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) #23284, currently completing his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. He is qualified to practice at ITSR under the clinical supervision of Stephanie Moffit, MSW RSW.

Hello! I’m Bennett, a compassionate and client-centred psychotherapist practicum student committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where my clients can feel heard, understood, and respected.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that all starts with understanding the problem. My goal is to learn as much as I can about your unique circumstances and identity. Everyone’s experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. Together we can then learn and explore the challenges you are facing, to develop greater self-awareness and use that awareness to work towards understanding and creating meaningful and lasting change.

Whether you are experiencing stress, anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide an opportunity to pause, reflect, and gain new perspectives.

My goal is to meet you where you are, at your own pace, while providing compassionate guidance and practical tools to help you move forward.

I use tested therapy approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) among others that fit your goals for therapy and work the best for you.
